I am a Yoga Teacher. I am picky about yoga mats. This mat was such a let-down. I bought it to replace my decaying "Jade Harmony" natural rubber mat. I should have just bought another "Jade harmony." Two minutes into a class, I was sliding all over the place on this mat, and this wasn't a particularly sweaty class. I eventually just folded it up and practiced on the bare floor. Do not waste your money on this product. If you buy it, you will need to practice with a towel or "Yogitoes."

I agree - very slippery! And very disappointed in Natural Fitness's response after I complained that I was sliding all over. The grooved pattern in the rubber hurts your hands if you are in downward dog or any balancing posture on your hands, and then you start sliding all over the place before you've hardly broken a sweat. I've been practicing yoga for years and when I complained about the slipperiness of this mat, all Natural Fitness did was suggest I buy another product of theirs to clean it. I guess I'll have to try it now since I can't return the mat, but I'll definitely be getting back in touch with them if that doesn't work. Very unhappy with this mat...don't buy it.
